The Ultimate 5-Day Guide to the Best of "Eko"

John Randle Yoruba Center

So you've finally decided to take a trip to the city that never sleeps, but between discovering the best Jollof spot in Lagos and deciding which museum to head to first, you're unsure of where to start. That's where we come in šŸ˜‰.

With this guide, you'll get to experience the energy (and traffic šŸ˜…), the culture (because Lagos is rich in it), and the food (literally the best part) that makes 'Eko' like no other. So grab your comfy dresses or stretchy pants—you'll need ample space for the most delicious meals you've ever tasted!

Day 1:

Set the tone with a first stop at Cafeteria for a delicious breakfast with a classy touch. Then, head to the John Randle Yoruba Center for an educational and exciting time. Next, check out Rufus and Bees to test your bowling skills. At this point you can head off to Ofe Uto for some premium Nigerian cuisine šŸ‘Œ.

If you still have the energy for a quick thrill, you can indulge in virtual reality and play some games at Enzo Reality. Lastly, you can sample one of Nigeria's most famous street foods—suya—at Akerele Suya before going off to Paradis Lagos for a cozy evening filled with good food or Bon Appetit for elegant dining in Lagos with a French twist🄐.

Day 2 :

Indulge in a taste of Nigeria at Ile-Iyan. Then, learn more about Nigeria at the Railway Museum. Next, head to Lekki Conservation Center to walk off some calories while connecting with nature and experiencing some IG-worthy views from Africa's longest canopy walk 🤩. Finally, check out The Griot for some good food and pre-club vibes or The Angler for some waterside views and upscale dining (you can even book a boat cruise from here).

Day 3:

Get your day started with breakfast at Maple, and your perspective turned upside down (in a fun way, of course šŸ˜‚) at Upside Down House. Next, it's time for some indoor trampoline and great vibes at Upbeat.

Now that you've worked up an appetite, check out NOK by Alara for some tastefully artistic decor with delicious recipes šŸ˜‹. Then, head to West Side Beach or Barracuda Beach for a relaxing evening by the sea—and maybe some horse riding.

Day 4:

Begin with breakfast at La Chaumiere for delicious food and Instagram-worthy ambience (your followers will thank you šŸ“ø). Then, flex your artistic muscles with Sip and Paint at Crafts Village. Next, set out to Giwa Gardens Water Park for a fun afternoon to remember. Finally, check out a fast food joint called Amoke Oge for Amala that you'll never forget šŸ’Æ.

Day 5:

Grab breakfast at a cute bicycle-themed cafe called Pitstop Lagos. Then, visit Zen Archery and Nike Art Gallery for some fun and cultural immersion. Branch at Foodies Hot and Spicy for arguably the best Jollof in Lagos šŸ˜‹.

Now, it's time for an adrenaline rush with kayaking at Kayakin Lagos (if it's a weekend) or go wall climbing at Landmark Centre. Then, visit Gameland to de-stress with fun outdoor activities. Finally, head to Turtle Bae at Elegushi Beach for a waterside refresh and a chance to see some turtles 🐢.
